Il fascinante Palazzo Sanfelice, noto anche come Villa del Marchese, apparteneva ai Marchesi Sanfelice di Monteforte, Principi di Viggiano dal 1891.

Grazie al suo incantevole giardino e alla posizione panoramica, è la location più ambita del paese per eventi culturali e musicali.

È possibile visitarlo per conoscerne la storia, grazie anche ad interessanti allestimenti multimediali, e ammirare vari strumenti musicali di quella che oggi è una vera e propria “Dimora della Musica”, sede del Conservatorio “Gesualdo da Venosa” di Potenza e della Scuola dell’Arpa Popolare di Viggiano.

• Fin dal Settecento, i musicanti viggianesi portavano la musica italiana nel mondo.
  
  
• A differenza di altri gruppi musicali dell’epoca, non usavano strumenti meccanici, ma violini, flauti e soprattutto l’arpa, una piccola arpa diatonica portatile con meno di 20 corde, spesso costruita da loro stessi.
  
  
• Molti di questi musicisti diventarono famosi a livello internazionale, richiesti nelle orchestre più prestigiose del mondo.
  
  
• Oggi, grazie all’Associazione Arpa Viggianese e al liutaio Massimo Monti, è stato possibile riprodurre fedelmente l’arpa così com’era nell’Ottocento.
  
  
• Lo strumento viene adattato alle moderne esigenze tecniche e acustiche.
  
  

 

The charming Palazzo Sanfelice, also known as the Villa of the Marquis, belonged to the Marquises Sanfelice di Monteforte, Princes of Viggiano since 1891.

Thanks to its enchanting garden and panoramic location, it is the most sought-after venue in the village for cultural and musical events.

The palace can be visited to learn about its history, also thanks to fascinating multimedia installations, and to admire various musical instruments of what is now a true “House of Music”, home to the “Gesualdo da Venosa” Conservatory of Potenza and the School of Popular Harp of Viggiano.

• Since the 18th century, musicians from Viggiano brought Italian music all over the world.
  
  
• Unlike other musical groups of the time, they did not use mechanical instruments, but violins, flutes, and above all, the harp—a small, portable diatonic harp with fewer than 20 strings, often handmade by themselves.
  
  
• Many of these musicians became internationally renowned, performing in the most prestigious orchestras in the world.
  
  
• Today, thanks to the Arpa Viggianese Association and luthier Massimo Monti, it has been possible to faithfully reproduce the harp as it appeared in the 19th century.
  
  
• The instrument is being adapted to modern technical and acoustic requirements.
  
  

 

El fascinante Palazzo Sanfelice, también conocido como Villa del Marqués, pertenecía a los Marqueses Sanfelice di Monteforte, Príncipes de Viggiano desde 1891.

Gracias a su encantador jardín y a su ubicación panorámica, es el lugar más codiciado del pueblo para celebrar eventos culturales y musicales.

Se puede visitar para conocer su historia, también gracias a interesantes instalaciones multimedia, y admirar diversos instrumentos musicales de lo que hoy es una auténtica “Residencia de la Música”, sede del Conservatorio “Gesualdo da Venosa” de Potenza y de la Escuela del Arpa Popular de Viggiano.

Der faszinierende Palazzo Sanfelice, auch bekannt als Villa des Markgrafen, gehörte den Markgrafen Sanfelice di Monteforte, Fürsten von Viggiano seit 1891.

Dank seines zauberhaften Gartens und der panoramischen Lage ist er der begehrteste Ort im Dorf für kulturelle und musikalische Veranstaltungen.
