Il parco tematico Le Radici della Musica è una piccola oasi di pace che si affaccia sulla vallata e sulla Montagna Grande di Viggiano. Si tratta di un luogo studiato per raccontare attraverso gli alberi la storia dell'artigianato musicale locale. Ogni specie arborea piantumata, infatti, produce una tipologia di legname idonea alla costruzione di almeno una parte degli strumenti che per tradizione venivano, e vengono, realizzati a Viggiano.

Questo parco quindi non parla solo di specie arboree ma parla anche di uomini che attraverso lo studio empirico della sonorità dei legnami, degli strumenti e delle meccaniche, han dato vita a un artigianato locale di costruzione di strumenti musicali di eccellenza soprattutto nel corso dell'Ottocento.

Ogni specie presente rappresenta un legame che ci radica al passato, alla profonda identità storica e antropologica di Viggiano e alla sua tradizione musicale. Le Radici della Musica è un cantastorie immerso nella natura e silenzioso eppure portatore di una eco "infinita" che il suo percorso a forma di infinito vuole omaggiare e tramandare soprattutto ai più piccoli!



 

The theme park Le Radici della Musica (The Roots of Music) is a small oasis of peace overlooking the valley and the Montagna Grande of Viggiano. It is a place designed to tell the story of local musical craftsmanship through trees. Each planted tree species produces a type of wood suitable for building at least one part of the instruments traditionally crafted in Viggiano, both in the past and still today.

This park, therefore, does not only speak of trees but also of the men who, through empirical study of the sound properties of wood, instruments, and mechanics, gave rise to a local tradition of crafting musical instruments of excellence, especially during the 19th century.

Each species present symbolizes a bond that roots us in the past, in the deep historical and anthropological identity of Viggiano and its musical heritage. Le Radici della Musica is a silent storyteller immersed in nature—yet it carries an “infinite” echo, represented by its infinity-shaped path, meant to honor and pass on this legacy, especially to the youngest generations!



 

El parque temático Le Radici della Musica (Las Raíces de la Música) es un pequeño oasis de paz con vistas al valle y a la Montagna Grande de Viggiano. Es un lugar concebido para contar, a través de los árboles, la historia de la artesanía musical local. Cada especie arbórea plantada produce un tipo de madera adecuada para construir al menos una parte de los instrumentos que tradicionalmente se fabricaban, y aún se fabrican, en Viggiano.

Este parque no habla solo de árboles, sino también de los hombres que, mediante el estudio empírico de la sonoridad de las maderas, los instrumentos y sus mecanismos, dieron vida a una tradición local de fabricación de instrumentos musicales de excelencia, especialmente durante el siglo XIX.

Cada especie presente representa un vínculo que nos arraiga al pasado, a la profunda identidad histórica y antropológica de Viggiano y a su tradición musical. Le Radici della Musica es un cuentacuentos silencioso, inmerso en la naturaleza, que sin embargo lleva consigo un eco “infinito”, simbolizado por su recorrido en forma de infinito, con el objetivo de rendir homenaje y transmitir este legado, sobre todo a los más pequeños.



 

Der Themenpark Le Radici della Musica (Die Wurzeln der Musik) ist eine kleine Oase der Ruhe mit Blick auf das Tal und den Montagna Grande von Viggiano. Er wurde geschaffen, um die Geschichte des lokalen Musikinstrumentenhandwerks durch Bäume zu erzählen. Jede gepflanzte Baumart liefert ein Holz, das sich für den Bau mindestens eines Teils der Instrumente eignet, die traditionell in Viggiano gefertigt wurden – und heute noch werden.

Dieser Park spricht daher nicht nur über Bäume, sondern auch über die Menschen, die durch empirische Studien über die Klangqualität von Hölzern, Instrumenten und Mechanik eine lokale Handwerkstradition im Bau hochwertiger Musikinstrumente – insbesondere im 19. Jahrhundert – begründeten.

Jede vorhandene Baumart symbolisiert eine Verbindung zu unserer Vergangenheit, zur tiefen historischen und anthropologischen Identität von Viggiano und zu seiner musikalischen Tradition. Le Radici della Musica ist ein stiller Geschichtenerzähler, eingebettet in die Natur – und doch trägt er ein "unendliches" Echo in sich, das durch seinen unendlich geformten Weg geehrt und besonders den Jüngsten weitergegeben werden soll.



 

“音乐之根”主题公园是一片宁静的小绿洲，俯瞰着山谷和维贾诺的“大山”。这个地方旨在通过树木讲述当地音乐工艺的历史。园中种植的每一种树木，都能产出适合用于制作至少一个传统乐器部件的木材——这些乐器过去在维贾诺手工制作，如今仍在延续这一传统。

因此，这座公园讲述的不仅是树木的故事，更是那些工匠的故事——他们通过对木材声音特性、乐器构造和机械结构的经验研究，缔造了19世纪以来维贾诺卓越的乐器制造工艺传统。
